Nice monos High City! 
The one in my avatar was id'd on here as mono.. here he is, can you guys tell me if he's peruvian or not?

No Silver ther not Peru but they are Special also. I believe this is what they reffer to as Super Mono's. Maybe Mjunior or R1 can place the origin. I want one of those as well. They are very gold and your's show's this very well!

Thanks heaps bro.. this mono does differ alot from my others, birghter colours, attitude etc.. pretty much the most agressive cichla out of my 5!

It's the truth that is one Sexy Beast and I bet it runs the tank with an attitude. I will be looking for one eventually and trust me yours will be on my mind when I finally find one.
I want to find out a s much as possiable about all monos and all Cichla of course but right now I figured Mono's would be a good topic. I have seen some variations but I know I haven't seen them all. So I hope a lot of Mono Cichla owners post there pictures up and tell us all about theres and even the baby cichla are welcome to post! I just want to try to keep it Mono's if we can.
These guys below were identified as ocels, however im starting to think different only because they dont show the trademark blood red eyes and their already around 8-9inchs.. could they be a hybrid of ocel/mono they show the black marking s the monos do behind the pectoral fin which makes me think this..
