Peta says: Fish Keeping = BAD!

Another thing to note...no one wants veganism shoved down their throat type advertising. But the U.S. is a nation of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other life threatening, and costly impedements. Yet the U.S. is the biggest producer and consumer of meat...kind of ironic.

well some of us indulge in the meats that are produced by our nation but yet are not obese, and havent really gained any weight. for example myself.... it all depends on the individual. plus meat is tastier.

pretty much :P i like chicken

I like it too, and would still eat it if it wasn't served with an invisible side of brutality and suffering.

Oh, but i can respect that...you probably slaughter them yourself, like a man right? ;)

nope. they come straight from the frozen section :P and im not really looking for a career in butchery, but i really dont think that trying to kill biomedical researchers and lab animals is going to stop me from eating fried chicken.

Oh ok then...so obesity isn't a problem in the U.S. I must have misread that somewhere.

What correlation, at all, even in the vaguest sense...do either of those have to do with eachother?

obesity is a problem in the us. and im not going to bash any vegans but taking away meat from everyones diet may curb obesity, but its not the answer.

Agreed, moderation is key. But that will never happen...too much money and big business is behind it. Check out all those fast food commercials directed at kids...start em young.

And back the point of this topic....like many have said. They are basing this claim on the basis of majority of fish being kept in horrid conditions. Its a shame really...its just like any sport or other hobby. There are those who are into it and do everything right, and then there is the recreational majority who are in it for the wrong reasons in the short term. Too bad it happens to be a hobby of live animals...
