If the Lord didn't want us to eat animals, he would have never allowed the creation of Texas Pete's Hot Sauce, which is very tasty on animals.

We have permission to eat meat from the good lord. and to this day he has never taken it back.
This 'Lord' has never provided us with a meat source. Human curiosity has. If we were not interested in what this hairy looking thang with 4 legs tasted like, we may never of evolved to the greatest race on Earth.

PETA says that having possesion in ones property or household of any form is considered 'wrong'. This cannot be achieved. Think of the thousands of bugs and misc animals that co-inhabit our house the same time as us. I bet at any one night, I could find at least a dozen gecko's snooping around my outside lights looking for a tasty morsel.

of course he has

he gave us authority over all that was created on earth including animals.

Man is to take care of and use the earth, including its animals.

they are to be used by men for our needs.

btw you sound like me when i was an atheist.

that is not the same thing, because they have the freedom to come and go as they please. they are not being help captive against their own will.

Im not going to start a war on religion (There is a great thread about religion in the archives) but you have your beliefs and I have mine. You stated yours and I stated mine. Nuff said.

I am a "tree hugger" in that I believe in preserving diversity and maintaining sustainable harvest, I also hunt, fish, eat meat, and keep pets, all of which PETA seeks to ban. Don't confuse the two please.
i have not confused the two, both are extemist groups peta thinks people should not have pets tree huggers dont want people to go into our forests, you cant log for timber because of a spotted owl, you cant ride your motorcycles because you might disturb some distant cousin to a gopher if all of this is not going to the extreme than my dictionary has the wrong definition. i say live and let live our world has survived thousands of years and will continue to do so. maybe not al gore is trying to scare everyone with his lies, he may get people abolished, than it would just be him and the ozone

please keep it clean and dont start to derail in this thread about global warming and al gore etc. this thread is an opnion on peta. Yes there -opinions please keep this in mind. I can already see how this can go bad.

yes you are so right, enough said:chillpill:

I'm wondering if any of their adds featuring naked/half naked celebrities have really converted anyone to join their cause. Can't imagine that it does, and that eats up alot of money that could be put to much better use. I am all for conserving wildlife, but have no problems with pets, and love eating meat. I think PETA does more to hurt their cause than to help it. Currently I think they are a bad group that helps fund terrorist groups, with some new leaders and restructuring i think they could actually do some good.
