  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
One of my 40b that I got 5 years ago is still holding water and my wife's 40b has been up almost a year with no issues.

oh man I am going to get in trouble. But my kids Gold fish need an upgrade from the 20 gallon.

Are these the Tetra tanks again? I heard the quality may be suspect , how is yours holding up?
They still had a few aqueons left when I got the 40 but last time the cashier said petco only sells tetra tanks now. I haven't even set up the 55 yet because it's gonna be used as a sump but tetra has a lifetime warranty on them so I'm not too worried about the quality. I definitely prefer the look of the seams and trim on the aqueon tanks but the 40b only has a 5 year warranty (although I believe they also have lifetime warranties on tanks bigger than 55g)

Petsmart is having or had a sale over he weekend too you get 40 breeder and light and glass tops for 80
Actually a good deal since Petco has the tank for $40 and the glass top is like $38, so basically a cheap flourescent is thrown in for real cheap if you do the Petsmart $2 per gallon sale.

Yep these are the Tetra tanks. Ive had my 40B set up for a few months and no issues.

Did you guys but the lids there also? If not, where are you planning to get them?
I got the tetra lid for my 40B from Petco. But if you need a glass top you might as well do the Petsmart $2 per gallon sale. It comes with the top/hod light combo. On the 40B that is a glass top and a cheap fluorescent light (I think it even comes with a tube)

Awesome need a 55G sump for my 100g maybe two.. I want more but i haven't started on my fish tank room.. Damn
