Looks like the $1/gal is back on at Petco from 12/26/18 thru 2/2/19. Problem is, the ad says it's only for 10, 20, 20L and 29g now.

Thank you! I just re-read the ad and caught that. That is pretty funny because $1/gal is pretty much what 50% off equates to. Problem is they are advertising Tetra tanks. Some United pet group (Marineland) tanks have very thin glass and frames compared to Central Garden and Pet (Aqueon). In fact, I recently had a $1/gal tetra 55g spring a leak from the bottom perimeter seal somewhere. It was less than 2yrs old. 25g+ of water on the floor by the time I caught it.

pretty sure Petco only carries aqueon glass tanks. I workat Petco in Washington DC and that's all we have. We have the smaller tanks in kits, but those aren't part of the sale, only the 10g and up glass tanks
10g aqueon deluxe kit (glass tank, led lid, 10g filter, 50w preset heater, some extras) for 40 bucks. Not a bad deal if you need a complete 10g. Think that's it right now.
My ad says Aqueon and Tetra. I know at my local Petcos, it can be either or a mix. The last few $1/gal sales my stores only carried Tetra. Aqueons are a heavier, better materials tank in the 29g and up realm than Tetra are IMO.
