Looking good! Those blues on the front half look great. Even with the small dorsal spot I'm going to say male based on body shape. Keep it up, he's going to be a looker. Money well spent

really? which gender would be better when it comes to flowerhorns? and what color would this one be when it becomes full grown?
I've kept adults of both and enjoyed both. Males tend to be more interactive but females can be interactive as well. Males are typically more aggressive too in my experience. Females stay smaller though and will not typically have the nuchal hump or "kok" that a male has. I wouldn't expect too much more as far as colors goes from what you have now. Maybe the red in the throats will expand a little more and blues may get a little more intense. Great looking fish regardless of the sex. Keep us updated. Many thought the male in my profile pic was a female because he had a small dot on his dorsal. He does have a double flower line though. If yours does turn out to be female it will be a great quality female. They typically do not display a 'kok' especially at that size
i wish mine would be as red as the one you got on your profile pic. ill keep posting a pic of this flowerhorn every month to keep updates, so you guys can help me with the gender! thanks for your input!

I also got my flowerhorn from pet co not sure what to think of it. I think I have had the fish for 3 months now. It started out a bit lighter in color than it is now. It seems to be changing I hope its colors comes out soon I know its problem hard to see in the pick but there is a lot of red underneath all the blue stuff. Anyone have any idea what kind of FH it could be. I have been feeding it both red color enhancing food and algee food to help with the greens I'm seeing in the fish.. In thinking its female which I don't like but I guess its to young to know.
