Really? I go to the West Covina and Alhambra petsmart and they always have the omega flakes I feed my fish. As far as fish stocks go...there was only that one time that they had those 4" loaches in West Covina but they never had em again.
I wouldn't go so far as to say I would never buy a fish from petco or petsmart - more importantly I just buy if a fish looks good and healthy and is worth the trouble and cost quarantining. Sometimes they have great deals but most of the time they don't. I like to look at all shops though, because I'd not have half my loach shoal if I didnt go into Petsmart that one day, or I would've paid much more for that many at that size.
