petco or petsmart? maybe neither!!

I like the prices at our petsmart.You just have to know what your looking for and have all the info you need before going there. You never can tell if anyone will be able to actually help you there..

OMG there's this one lady at petland and she does not give a CRAP!!!!!
i'll stand in the back by the fish for 20 min before someone helps me and the one lady will walk past me like 10 and never ask if i need help with something.
i'm seriously considering instituting a "help yourslef" policy next time i go there. they do have really clean feeders though.

The best place around me is SuperPetz in Annadale,VA which is still 1 hour away or longer. My angelfish and cory are the only one left from superpetz after about 2.5 years.

haha, i have the opposite problem, every time my and my friend go in this one girl follows around asking like every 2 sec if we need help. and then she talks to us like we dont know anything. so annoying, now when we go we hide from her

No petco where I am but a Petsmart just opened and it is not too bad just not enough knowlege about the fish.

awww i like my petsmart. They have great selection of fish and its pretty cheap too.

We have both stores across the street from each other.The Petco is horrible,and I no longer shop there at all.The Petsmart is actually pretty decent for a Petsmart.The people that work there at least know about fish somewhat.

It always seems to me that you can get better info from a local type shop, i always try to deal with people in the same hobby as i am into. If you looking for coral find someone who is into the reef setup. I go where i feel i can get good info and no attitude. some sale people act like they could really give a crap. and others feel like they know it all and your experieces are not worth hearing.. it comes down to service.. where ever you feel comfortable and feel like you are getting the help or service you need.
