Petco Surprise!

I found this guy in with the minnows at petco! I had the guy fish it out for me. I know it is some kind of sunfish (pretty sure). Maybe a green sunfish? IDs would be appreciated. It is still small, about 3".

Haaha cool, I once found a few pregnant mosquito fish at petco, I was pretty funny watching the guy try to fish them out.. me n my friend ended up doing it ourselves

Green Sunfish. Great pick up!! Choose tank mates that can't fit in it's large mouth.

A definite Green Sunfish. Great species of Sunfish to work with, I'm surprised that mine is doing so well though with other tank-mates, lol. They can be pretty aggressive from my past experience.

lol, i work at petco and periodically pull those green sunfish and tadpoles out. what did they charge you for it?

It's a green sunfish, as I can't see any traits that screamed a hybrid.
