That is sad.
People at my petco barely get by. I respect them for bringing in NLS, and for using QM as a wholesaler, but they could still improve on things.
For one, they hire some interesting people. (Go look at their application if you want to know more on this, they are a part of a special program.)
Secondly...I dont think it has anything to do with fish knowledge.
I have had to save them on several occasions. The last time was "Your sump is running dry."
Response: "Our what?"
You could barely see into their tanks for all the bubbles that were blowing around in there.
I do not support them for running quality LFS's out of town...there really is no substitute for the LFS, and yet I fear now that they are a dying breed. Too bad.
