No matter what fish forum you go to, as long as the majority of the members are experienced fish keepers (but not necessarily experienced at spelling :ROFL: JK JK) you will have "Guess what "INSERT CHAIN STORE" did today" threads.

@ OP: Nine times out of ten the "Fish Department Managers" are still following myths that were around when I was 9 years old. A lot has changed over the last 11 years, and none of the chain stores seem to adjust to the new information and are still sending down wrong info from the big house. All the chain stores around me think that a tank is "Cycled" when you put in the necessary amount of Stress Coat and Stress Zyme and let the tank circulate for 2-3 days.... :screwy::screwy::screwy:

I agree, no more chain store bashing. We need a sticky for this stuff. But bashing someone's level of intelligence in a post full of typos is pretty funny! I think this was intentional and meant for a joke.
 
No more chain store rants!

I for one love my nearby petsmart, and im there every friday to see new stock. Their pricematching is excellent and if they have something i need i always buy it there.
 
I dont mind the chain stores around me. Cant beat getting a fish for 1/4 the price of the mom pop places. I like to support the smaller stores, but sometimes I need to save some cash.
 
I guess in the wild there are pellet trees growing over the water and the Hikari high quality cichlid pellets drop in daily? Duh! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!:ROFL:

In the wild cichlids do not eat goldfish, fish rarely inbreed, and feeders are not sold by the hundreds in 20 gallon tanks :)
