That should never ever been done in a customers view. Euthunizing should be done either after hours or in the back. I doubt we could stop it. At best we could have them use a better way to kill the fish.

If you ask the manager for the district manager's contact info, i would report it. If i did that at the store i worked at i would have been fired on the spot. Completely unacceptable and definitely NOT allowed. There is no reason why he couldn't give them to you.

Defenatly a case for the EPA or some othe sort of agency for animal abuse defenatly report it. All that I have to say is those friken bastards don't even care about the fish they just care about the profit. I can't tell you how many countless times I go into a pet store and see suffering fish. Poor Convicts

This is the perfect solution. My local Petco fish dept manager told me he's only "allowed" to feed the turtles feeder fish and ReptoMin. Why not just feed them to the turtles? There's no excuse for soaking them in paint thinner right there in full sight of customers, no less.

Let's call it the "Piss and Moan" forum. It will do no good- odds of employees of the chain stores reading it are slim. Odds of someone high up enough in the company reading it are even slimmer. Slimmer yet are the odds of that individual being prompted into action.

If you don't like it, take it up with individual store managers.

Even if he would have given the fish to you,I doubt they wouldve lived too much longer anyway,of course its all your fault for not arriving sooner like before the kid was able to open the chemical container.Had to blame someone as I'm sure the manager does not care one bit about any of the fish in that department.
