Petco's $1 per gallon sale starts today

Should be able to just go and get it. They might require a perks card but thats a whole 3 minutes of work.

I had to go measure my stand... not 36 inches so no excuse. Guess I save money for sure this sale.
 
40g breeder...Been dying to get my hands on one of those....
 
There are aquarium "outlets" or wholesalers guys where you can basically get the same deal year round. There is one in Oconomowoc WI. You can buy aquariums, any size, whenever you want to for like $1.75 on the gallon. Up to...probably a 125g. (At which size they have to start using thicker glass, and it starts to get much more expensive.)

I know that I got my 75g there and I payed something like $89 for it brand spanking new from all glass like 4 years ago. Search for one of these in your area or state before supporting petco.

I picked up a 55 and a 40b this afternoon from the sale. But, this is good info. Does anyone else have experience using a wholesaler?

no, illl just go to petco. its simple enough. there is one 5 min from my house. so lets see 40 bucks for tank and 50 cents for gas, compared to 70 bucks for 40 breeder($1.75 per gallon, ur price quoted) and prob 20 bucks in gas if there is one even that close to me.
 
Just two weeks ago I went to petco and saw they had a 40 breeder they were selling for $110, I passed it up and have been looking at craigslist since. Then earlier today I saw this post and went out and bought a new 40 breeder with tax for $42. Thanks for the heads up.
The girl in the fish department also told me that all online items are free shipping during the sale.
