Nice fish. I like the P. bass looking spot on the tail.

I don't know too much about these guys, red or green. What's the aggression level of this species? Can they be mixed with other cichlids or are they strictly species-only fish? They are very nice looking cichlids.

They're pretty peaceful as far as large Central American cichlids go, but you can't keep them with any fish that might possibly fit in their mouths. Which are most fish. :P

I keep my Red with Oscars and a Jack Dempsey. The Red is the biggest and tries to bully the others some but backs down from even the smallest tank mate when it returns the aggression. They are all fairly calm most of the time.

The best part about the snook is the way it can extend its mouth out then retract it fast sucking in anything that will fit. Is a cool feeding strategy.

My pair has about 100 fry now. I hope to make these a little more available in mid-summer.
