Petrochromis sp. 'Red Bulu'

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats the exact dimensions of my tank, kind of annoying that its so deep, but that looks amazing.

What are you using for filtration? I can't believe you have so many. Thats CRAZY!!

Thanks!

I've got 10 Red Bulu coming in on Sunday, most in the 2 to 3" range, two males at the 4" range. Figured I would start out with that, and then gradually add some more till I was up to around 16 to 24.

I've decided to put them in the 125gal for now, at least to grow them out a bit for the 300gal. Getting another FX5 for the 300gal, so want to get the filtration on it squared away first.

I know NLS is alright for Petros, but I was toying with the idea of putting some Tropheus in there with them, can they handle NLS as well?

petros eat anything you throw in the tank. trophs are more sensitive, nls is great for trophs. I'm currently feeding my trophs and petros nls, dainichi, and omega one.

Omega One Super Veggie?

I can get Omega One, Hikari, and NLS fairly easily around here, Dainichi though, thats a different story.

Have you tried the Hikari Seaweed Extreme? I was thinking of trying that out on them since we have a healthy amount of it at the store.

Do you keep your Petros and Troph together? I'm getting mixed reviews on that.

I have the Omega one marine pellets with garlic. With dainichi I typically order a bulk at a time online since it's not sold in stores around my area.. I don't feed flakes because I find them very messy. I do have a few trophs in the petro tank and they're doing just fine.
