i would go bigger than a 55 cause trust me you are going to want more.lol but a minimum of a forty.
and make sure you either have sand or a bare bottom tank cause they might "inhale" gravel when they eat.

hes having so much fun chasing darters around
and chinese algae eater and bichir dont mix.
hes chasing the bichir.
i moved the chinese,darters are on there own tho.

Never by Chinese Algae eaters, they don't eat algae and attack other fish.

Never by Chinese Algae eaters, they don't eat algae and attack other fish.

mine does, never an algea problem (lot to do with maintence though also) and no attacks. he is quite mature too

actually, i work at petsmart (sadly) and we got ornates in once...like 3 of them about a year ago. I think they were sent by accident tho cause we havent gotten any in since then and they arent even on the manifest.

At the moment the most expensive fish we've had at my store is an L18 which amazingly has lived in our fish system for over a year now. We rarely get any cool special buys, our last special was celestial eyed goldfish which managed to all die in two weeks =X
