the woman at my pet smart said they no longer carry pacu. Maybe she just meant that specific store? She is a hobbyist herself and was like thank God.

I have never seen any monster fish from any of my local Petsmart or Petco. Largest are the Oscars that they have and of coarse the common plecos. It could be because I'm in Socal and there's lots of other lfs that carry those monster fish.
