petsmart march's $1 sale on ...

stocked up on a bunch of tetras the past couple days for my boys tanks, the silver dollars they had stuffed in a tank were ALL tail-less and sickly looking. Guy at checkout says to keep on eye out, this sale goes to March 22 then they will have something else for a buck, he told me a while back they had all plecos for a buck!!
i will NOT EVER AGAIN buy from petsmart... after the incident with my mollys ( they had for the dollar sale on livebearers besides guppys ) i had an outbreak of ICH and im not gunna go through that again.... so now im only loyle to ONE fishstore and its a privetly owned one to..
no diff b/w them just the size. and i only got 5 lyretail and 2 silver ( had 6 lyretails but one died and had 3 ballon mollys and they died ) but now lets say i have about 15 to 20 lol

yes, when I 1st went & saw silver $ I was ecstatic till I saw their condition.
I agree, petsmart fish aren't the healthiest so I am going to set up a 10g new tank in place of it being a hospital QT tank - which by virtue of it being used for my new fish will be a QT anyway.
but I have learned LEARNED LEARNED my lesson & trying awfully hard not to intro any more new fish with my discus (I added otos 3wks ago with only 4day QT & treatment & so far ok). they were bought along with a baby hi fin pleco all for a buck! great deal but have to deal with QT'ing them & treating them cuz the baby pleco has infected my angel tank with parasite or worms since they are not eating & some have white poop. it was in one adult & one baby angel now it is all 3 adults & 3 babes.
so I just purchased this evening 5 baby silver $ & 8 baby neons (cards all gone). QT'ing them now & need to fill up my 10g with discus cycled water.
they are going no where near my discus tank - tho I would have love them to be their mates - but also never heard anyone putting silver $ or neons with discus.
btw - all u silver $ fans! baby & medium size are all for a buck!
