PETSMART SEELS GARS~!

how big was yours? do u have any pics?
 
those a pretty cool fish, won't take anything but live food, but they are basically like a gar for the rest of us that don't have 300 gallon tanks.
 
Well mine was easily shrimp-trained :)
It only took feeders the first weeks but then one day it started eating shrimp that fell down besides him so i just stopped giving feeders and no problem.
He eats 1-3 pieces of shrimp most days.

i like my needlenose very much, not active and easily stressed but very fun to see him eat.

you actually got a needlefish to take prepared foods? thats pretty cool. i have never heard of anyone getting them off of live before.
 
I bought mine as needle fish, turned out to be gator gars.. might be another case of mislabeled fish..

they are indeed a cool fish. they just get mistaken for gar all too often.
 
I picked up another needle fish today from pets smart today, i have 1 that is 14in and the new one is 8in. these things are awsome to watch eat. i have not been able to get them to eat prepared food only rosies.
