so my petsmart stand's bottom panel got wet and now its bloating. now i can barely close one of the doors. do you guys think this will cause issue w/ the stand and tank overall?

i know i shouldn't have bought it from petsmart. :shakehead

this was part of the product description:
Dense fiberboard core construction and a moisture-resistant, black powder-coat finish. Looks great in any room to give your aquarium a clean finished look. Powder-coat Finish
The finish on these stands is created using state-of-the-art powder-coating process, which ensures that the end product is extremely durable and moisture-resistant.

BS!!!

Generally once a process starts ......... it continues. I think the end product is trouble. I hate to say it but I'd probably replace the stand.

yea, i agree.... i don't want to run the risk of 90 GALLONS on my frikkin floor! :nilly:

good news is i have a spare tank, bad news is, its only a 40.

i would switch the stand out before u have a catastrophe!!

i have a 120 Gallon on a wood stand but its good real wood. also when it gets wet the water rolls right off it. that's what u want.

get one made professionally or get one from a LFS.

One thing I don't agree with the big box stores on. IMO, any tank over 55g (and that's pushin it) is too heavy for a particle board stand.
