Petsmart Sucks

Whatever he is he's by far my favorite fish even though I'm pretty new at fish keeping. He is a stunning color of blue and when I shine my flashlight into the tank to find some that are hiding he really looks great whn light is bouncing off of him! Such a beautiful fish but not much of an eater right now though and he's the biggest and actually meanest fish in the tank right now. He will hardly even touch cichlid sticks, pellets, or flakes but he does seem to like to eat neon tetras here and there. I use them instead of rosy reds bc they just always look and seem healthier.

Just when to my petsmart yesterday to get a fourlined catfish don't know correct full name of top of my head. Any way I was asked what I have and they kid replyed by saying that my african brown knifefish will get to 3 feet and that my oscar will eat the knife. Only getting food from their anymore.
Also got a comment on youtube saying that my african knifefish will need 1000+ Liters and that they get to 16"

My local petsmart sucks. I'm 16 and I was buying my sister a goldfish so she could take it to college w/ one of my tanks and the worker told me that they weren't allowed to sell fish to minors. So I argued a little, laughed and then just left. I have vowed to myself never to go back to petsmart again. Good thing I have a bunch od lfs's in the area.

Umm, its policy, if the employee did allow you to purchase the fish the result might have been a slap on the wrist or worse, fired!. Would you be mad if you went into a liquor store and went up to the store with a six pack and a pack of butts and they denied your purchase because your too young. Get with the program...

i dont think it sucks b/c i dont buy fish there or even talk to the employees i just buy equipment like filters and heaters because an emp 400 or rena xp is the exact same as any other store

dude, petsmart doesnt suck, dont blame the store. Sure there are ignorant employees, I mean after all, I do work with a few, but he was just following corporates guidelines. Petsmart cant sell any live animals (besides feeder fish) that are to become food. If you want to keep feeding your aro frogs get them from petco or something, just dont blame petsmart for one of their rules that helps provide a better life for some animals

You are completely correct! As a PetCare employee I am required to refuse the sale of ANY live animal, aside from feeder fish, worms and crickets, to a customer that is going to use them as food!

Well, I guess if you were going to feed the frogs to another animal humanely, it would be okay.

I hate petsmart, but for completely different reasons. Well I don't really abhor it, it just sucks.

Petsmart still sucks. Well sometimes petsmarts carries some things that petco doesn't carry or a better brand. (and they are very close to my house) Well I needed to get a heather and they sell the top fin 300 watt submersibles for $23. So I went up there and the guy that was listening to my phone converstion about the frogs was there. I grabbed my heater and looked at the fish and seen some midas/RD. I wanted one so I helped myself. The guy looked at me. We had a stareing contest and I called him the B word and laughed at him. He must be a hater or something because I can spend on fish and supplies in 15 minutes what he makes in a week.
