Ok I'll just take a pic of a dead one In a tank. Once I saw someone putting all the dead fish in a cup and I thought they had to keep the dead ones for a few days to prove they don't steal/give away fish.

And would going into the backroom be that big of a deal? If it's for a good cause...

first of all, backrooms contain merchandise. they are off limits to the general public due to security risks. secondly, from the perspective of walmart, this is not a good cause. you're attempting to take a photo that puts walmart in a negative light. there is nothing for walmart to gain from your attempted exposé.

day after a shipment pop in after opening time 'n take pictures of tanks.. sneaking into the backroom is illegal.. thus not a good idea. and tbh.. you won't find much, if anything. at most we'de toss our dead in the freezer to throw out w/ the nightly trash. kept the smell down. but a bag of dead fish in a freezer.. well the volume of fish they get in.. some are gonna die.. it's just how it is. Walmart is a good one for leaving their dead in the tanks.. as suggested go to your walmart 'n find a pleco or CAE sucking on a dead eyeball less fishy buddy.

Going into any backroom is trespassing and is never for a good cause....Just buy or pull out a bag of frozen silversides(dead fish)...Project done, and no one is wronged...You could even go as far as putting them in a tank (I'm sure that is what PETA does anyway)

pick up a trout at the seafood section

Haha project done.

I'll just take a pic of the dead feeders being gnawed on by other comets.

funny thing is i got asked 4 days ago for a picture of our dead fish by a local highschooler. where i work we keep all dead fish in the deep freeze in hazmat bags untill a company comes and incerates them. the local goverment doesnt like us at all

at the walmart I used to work at we just scooped them out and threw them in the trashcan which is located right by the fish tanks. If there are none in the tanks just peek in there because we were supposed to scoop them up as soon as we found them.

dude.. petsmart or petco all have dead goldfish floating around all the time!! take a pic of that!!
