So i was at Petsmart today to buy a new filter and i noticed that these guys wanted 3 bala sharks and when they went and told the EMployee she asked(IMO the right thing to do) what size tank do you have? and they said a ten and then she said weel thats not big enough( then she totally messed up my "okay petsmart employees arent that stupid moment) by saying well if you want to keep them for life you will need at least a 20g.

Actually she was right. First, she said "at least." Second, she figured the bala shark won't last such a long time with an idiot who go buy three of them for a 10 gallons tank :ROFL: C'm on, cut her some slack :headbang2
 
hey man i did my resarch and talked to people and i research befor i buy a fish and if tou think a 240s not big enough say so
and im not trying to be mean
 
My LFS told me a datnoid could live in 20g indefinetly. So yeah, STUPID!
 
So with all your your expertise and knowledge, did you interject and maybe mention that with proper care the balas would get to be 12" long? You know you standing by and doing nothing just makes you part of the problem.

I second this. Anyone can chuckle inside with an undeserved feeling of superiority. Only a few will spend the time to share knowledge. I'm guessing you did the former?
