interesting policy. I agree w/ everyone else....lots of people go in there and buy comets for pets, so they are breaking their own policy by selling comets as feeders as I see it. But it's policy, so you can't blame the employees, but you can complain about them being rude about it and not explaining that it's policy or that their set of morals won't allow it. I buy my feeders from PS, even though I'd rather give the money to LFS'.

Good for you man. I hate the fact that that happened to you. I completely agree with the point you are putting across. I'm just standing up for those 97% of Petco/Petsmart workers that arn't blubbering idiots. I'm actually going to check into that whole peta thing.

Lol 97% aren't blubbering idiots, I have been to maybe 8 Petco/Petsmarts and have only found one worker that knew what he was talking about. When I go to the store I go directly to what I need, buy it, and leave. I wish there were experts at more of the stores.

The other day I was at a Petco that had special ordered discus in, but the guy who ordered them decided he didn't want them, so Petco was selling them to some random guy that walked in. His questions included "What temperature should the tank be? What size tank do I need? Do I need to do water changes?" (As they are getting bagged up.) Felt sorry for those Discus.

Hmm.. i used to regularly visit my closest Petsmart and ask for a "dozen feeders" and never had a problem. I personally found this Petsmart to be a lot more friendly than our Petco. The employees at our local store look like they hate their job and hate when they're asked for help.

However I did notice before I read this thread that if I went to any other local Petsmart, I'm always asked "where are these going?" or "what do you already have in the tank?" No wonder..
