I also hate pet stores like pet smart because they keep puppy mills in business. If you buy a dog from one of these places, chances are it will have health and/or psychological problems.
So, I hate Pet Smart and will never give them a dime of my money.
PetsMart only adopts out dogs from shelters &/or rescue groups. The don't sell purebreds, their big thing is NOT encouraging backyard breeders. You have them confused with "pet shops".

Mines good for picking up feeders and pellets and whatnot. Never seen any fish worth getting excited about but it's close to me in a pinch and it's open until 9. I voted yes, but not with any enthusiasm. Maybe if they began selling crayfish at rock bottom prices I would get more jazzed.

mine is pretty decent, today i watched them own some dude trying to come back and buy more fish during the night because the lady during the day told him he couldnt get anymore while she was working, and i guess told the other people working too.

the fish I buy from my petsmart I can order... like a cowfish (FW)

Nope they employ people who dont no nothing about fish i go in and ask them laods of questions to wind them up its so funny i already no the questionssss lol.... There clown loach are £19.99 so i guess make ur mind up of that price

I have found some pretty nice fish at Petsmart. They may not always know much about their stock but I think they are okay most of the time. They rarely have any exotics. I buy those from the smaller LFS around me. But sometimes Petsmart will get fish that are mislabeled as something common and cheaper. Then they turn out to be prize winners. A little window shopping can sometimes yeild some really nice fish.

I don't get why there are so many complaints about the knowledge level of the staff. Personally, I feel if I have to ask questions about a fish when I'm at the store, I haven't done enough research, whether I'm at Petsmart, or a mom & pop LFS.

That's true, they only give away rescues and I don't think they profit from adoption fees. Your more likely to see a puppy mill dog at a mom 'n pop store.

bump. Anyways my petsmart has a great collection of plants. One down side for petsmart is the high price of ghost shrimp. So I decided to breed my ghost shrimp. Only 2 are left in the lep tank :)
