I'm not surprised that your reds dont bite you. I've never tried that but my hand is in my tank alot and they have never even got within a foot of my hand. no pun intended. try it with a hungry serra and you might have different results o _O

haha no actually I hand feed them a lot. I'll do a feeding video with both live and raw when I don't feel so lazy haha

i'll be looking forward to that, i find that more amusing then petting them

that would be scary as hell I would only do it if I raised it from fry and learned its behavior early on. However Serra are known to be more aggressive in nature but there has been successful encounters with animals such as sharks. Here is a video of somebody trying to hand feed a big guy.

You should have took a needle and poke your finger before dipping your hand into the tank. Lets see what happens when they smell blood.
