Unless it's a different name than I'm familiar with "Dry rock" will all fizz. It's coral rock.
I had to look up the term "Dry Rock" and agree, it is why the pH is high, it is coraline based, and should not be used with northern S American and Amazonian cichlids.
Great for rift lake Africans, Central American and Mexicans cichlids.
The reason that rock has all the holes, and looks the way it does, is that it is from ancient coral reefs and acids in rain have over times eaten away portions of it.

So for the OP, either change out the rock and sand, or change out the fish for high pH loving species.

That’s bad I have more rocks then you and mines at 7.5 plus 200poinds of crush coral and that just half I got a 100g tank
