PH buffer

i recently purchased an r0/di unit and the water quality is excellent all parameters are okay except the ph. i dont wanna mix it with tap water because i have ****ty ass well water and thats pretty much the reason i got the ro/di. would ph buffer work? im posting here because the water is for a ray tank.thanks.

D/I is not recommended for rays.... I would just use a Ro water repair.... but most rays can adapt to any water....

I have hard water and I keep rays no problem.. pH is high, etc..

Does your water have some other contaminant? Perhaps something like chemi-pure or carbon would be the best?

Just make sure your ready to do alot of big water changes, and that can be tough with any RO/DI systems..

Rays are adaptable, but don't like swings in pH.. so make sure if you do strip the alkalinity out of the water to buffer it with something.. use crushed coral as your bio-media.

i talked to Brad(stingrayguy) and he told me to try to mix 50/50. so far good results but im not sure if the water is going to be the same everytime. the initial filtration system off the well is not very consistant.

i usually use a mix of baking soda/washing soda to use as a PH buffer in all my tanks, it works really well and I've been using it for 5 years now without any problems. I also use it when there is a PH crash and I need to bring the PH back up.
