ph buffing?

ok, i was reluctant to buy the 'propper ph' cause i knew that it would fall again in time...i just need something to by some time to see how to propperly get the task done...thanx
 
i found a large chunk of coral that came with my 180gal...the guy use it as a buffer for the tank...i cleaned it an d added it...we'll see if it does the trick...also will that act like LR of equal lbs?

Yea it will act as a bio as well. All my tanks are always perfect PH and no drops. I don't know why, maybe because i always do half aragonite and half live sand. Also i add purple up to my tanks so that is constantly keeping everything in check. To be honest i don't mess with my ph just test it, and it never really changes.... I can't really offer any advice on the ph because ive never had the problem.

i have never even looked at the ph as anything worth attention in fresh, but salt is more 'exact'...i hope this solves it as i hate messing with the little things to much as the kiss method is the best way...it is a large chunk...8-9" around and like 3lbs so i hope it does the trick...
