I've recently purchased a crested gecko 2 1/2 weeks ago. She has been eating her CGD since, but I want to offer a bit of more a variety. I was wondering if pheonix worms would be fine for her. I'm sort of hesitant since she is 5-6 grams, and that there would be too much chitin and she would get impaction. Also would she be able to process the high protein levels considering i don't have her under a UV bulb? Thanks

Will she fine by the calcium aspect of it? After i buy them i'll see how hard they're exoskeletion is. Worse case scenario i'll have some treats for my fish.

I've only fed (dusted) crickets as occasional thing w/ mainly CGD comprising my colony's diet. Are phoenix worms like meal worms or squishy like wax worms?

They seem squishy, here is a few vids of them.

Woah, thats alot of Ca, I should get some of those for my females. Did you order them offline? I don't think I've ever seen them in stores.

Yeah, no additional dusting required. I've seen them at my local pet store. Would you think she would be fine with that calcium considering she doesn't have a UV? Or would the CGD supply the D3?

yeah, I don't think that it will be an issue so long as its an occasional supplementary thing. Feeding CGD primarily is best to avoid MBD and other diseases IMO. You know how to check her calcium sacs?
