Phillipine sailfin dragon or two baby albigularis?

Finnally back in california!!!
and missing reptiles and fish, and just came up on an awesome deal, so i want to know what I should go with? Really liking the tropical background for the dragon, but haven't heard anything about them pet wise.. Any help or suggestions as to enclosure setup?
and two baby black throat's, how long do you think they can be housed together? I have plenty of room for all three but only want one or the other..

please let me know what you experts think.

to comfortably house two adult albigs, you're looking at at least a 13-15 X 6 foot cage..or two 12 X 6 foot cages if they end up male/male/ - male/female. and even that would be too small IMO.

if you do indeed have a true phillipine lined up..i'd say go with that, but it is ultimately your decision.

I am quite curious about their temperment and activeness..

lucky, wish i had the space for an albig.

not many people keeping sailfins, im sure no one here has one. you should be able to find some websites about them through google though..

I dont have a sailfin but I have seen them for sale. Every year at daytona there is a table with them. They also pop up on kingsnake every now and then but expect to pay over $1k.

I would definitely vote for the sailfins though. Way cooler than black throats.

1 k lol. I'm looking at a 2 year old pair for way less, but like I said money and rarity don't mean anything to me really, I just want to know what you experts think about them. I have a chance to get a pair or two baby albigs, which sound more in favor for me since nobody has any experiance with the sailfins..

Go with what you know and love. Sailfins are beautiful but I have never heard anything decent about them as far as keeping goes. No idea about temperament but I imagine they probably are like other big lizards similar to them and lay around all day basking, young ones are most likely the most active and as they get older i'd imagine they just chill out most of the time like iguanas.
From what I have read they are very prone to nose rub..even worse than water dragons and unless the humidity is PERFECT they get fin rot easily and other scale conditions.

Also keep in mind.... if something seems to good to be true...it probably is.... getting a deal for these extremely rare and expensive lizards like you describe probably means there is something wrong with them.

words of wisdom my friend. I'll probably go with the albigs, I love them and have experiance with them. So seems like that shall be the direction I would like to go agian..
So I shall post pictures in about three weeks as I am currently re-doing the enclosure I had with my first black throat.
