the driftwood looks too weird - looks like it is floating in space in the chopped picture.
in addition, just from a purely photographic perspective, the lei is not very well centralized in this picture - i've seen your pics, you can do better

You shouldn't have use black out, but just use clone stamp. That way it doesn't gives the cut out look. I would just remove the bicuda....like this:

they're right, the driftwood is too hard on the edges. Do you use vector masks? Try some of the photoshop tutorials on pixel2life.com you're new to photoshop.

Yeah, photoshop is awesome if you know how to use it. I've used it for 5 years and still only know the basics.
