Tom, your Krobia look very similar to the four adults I have. But the four youngsters that I got from Jeff Rapps are golden/yellow in color on the body. I've never seen other Krobia Xingu like them. They still have the black mask and the orange coloring on the face and gills, but the foreheads are a mustard yellow similar to Heterotilapia multispinosa. Did yours ever go through a yellowish phase as juvies? I think yours came from Rapps a few months before mine, right?

Yes I think we got them around the same time give or take a couple of months. I think they went through a goldish phase before they devloped more of the orange on them. I have a couple babys left I'm growing out so as they get a little bigger I'll post some pictures.

This is a couple of shots of the tank, I'm using a combination T5 and LED lighting. I'm also growing some plants out of the top center with Pothos and Philodendrens growing down the sides on each end.

Love your tank Tom. How do you like the LED's? I am running the same setup on my 120g and so far am pretty happy with them (minus the night light function).

Great looking fish and tank!

Thank you I'm pretty happy with the whole set up.

Thanks Justin,

I like the LEDs, it would be nice if the blue lights could be run independently so they could be on after the white lights go out for a night time effect but overall I like the shimmer of the LEDs. I'm using 3 of the 18-24" double brights and a 24" Coralife T5 fixture with a 10K and colormax (~4000K I'm guessing) bulb over the center set on a seperate timer.

This is a pic of a juvi Krobia XO. Do they look like this?
