I have one in with mine and they are fine, but I have heard some horror stories. How big is your tank? Have they bothered the snails? I had a few snails in my tank when I first got my rays and they sucked them right out of their shells.

ok thanks for the info! I bought the bichirs today, two P. senegalus. They are still small so I don't think they can become a problem. I'll be taking pics of them soon!
