Camera isn't great, it's a Fuji Finepix S6500FD. I'm quite handy with Photoshop though, you need good photographs as a base but Auto-Colour/Contrast/Levels and some sharpening can go a fair way.
Here's a quick guide for any interested. These photographs were taken using the built in Flash of the camera.
I'm using Photoshop CS3 for this, there's probably similiar settings in Paint Shop Pro etc. and I'm sure older versions of Photoshop are exactly the same.
Original image resized to 1000x750, not a fantastic photo but it's alright. Follow these steps in this order. Very basic. You can play around with all of the manual settings if you wish to, I generally won't bother.
Image > Adjustments > Auto-Colour
Image > Adjustments > Auto-Contrast
Image > Adjustments > Auto-Levels
Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen
I just use it to make the photograph look like what it actually does in person, not just prettying it up. Cheers for the comments too, much appreciated.
