Nice!

Are the Saxatillis from the ponds at Bella Union or just from all over the places you collected?

Wow! That looks like it's been fun! Thanks for sharing the pics :) Did you take them home or some fry?

That is so cool Ed! I am really jealous. Wish I could go on a collection trip too. Ever make your way to Venezuela to collect?

Thanks guys!

Ray... I should of labelled them. The first four saxatilis group pics are from Bella Union, the fifth is from a tributary of the Rio Cuaro, which flows to the Rio Cuareim, the 6th is from Arroyo de la Invernada (headwaters of the Cuareim, 7 and 8 are from the Rio Yi, and the juveniles are from Arroyo de la Invernada. I have samples from the middle of the Rio Cuareim and Rio Cuaro that aren't pictured. I want to collect from the Rio Arapey and Rio Negro (tributaries to the Rio Uruguay, south of the Cuareim) and the Rio Santa Lucia, then the coastal populations, like Arroyo India Muerta and Arroyo Las Pavas.

Justin... No, but it's on the list.

very, very, very, very, very, very, very COOOOOL !!!!!!!!

ED! ~ Thx. for the Great photos taken while collecting! the first lepidota pic looks HUGE (what size was that fish?) Any more vittata photos? I'm assuming you went on an AqvaTerra trip with Felipe Cantera... I really should have gone with some friends in 2008. Hope you brought some specimens home, just wait till you see a mature female celido 'colored up'. Your photos are really appreciated - any chance of a brief dialog about the trip? Congrats on a very successful collection of an array of pretty Pikes!!
