Why thank you

Well here's one of my old Florida gars

Well I can't say I'm surprised Jibran, that is an epic photo!

Btw, I'd like to use a slave flash set up when I get a better camera, but I'm worried even if placed above the tank that the flash will startle my (quite light sensitive) GH -- do you ever have this issue?

My earlier HBRTG or my RTG never got spooked, Theywere always in your face kinda fish.

with my Gatf, I got the fish conditioned to the flash being fired, and then clicked photos of it.

one of the ways I found helpful was, place the flash above the tank and fire the flash so that direction is outside the tank and not fired at the fish, for a few times. You'll notice the fish to initially get a bit nervous, then eventually start ignoring the flash, them you can start using the flash directly above the tank.

Thx Glantspeedz, been meaning to post some pix to intro her in this sub-forum but got side-tracked by her cracked tank lol. TBH I kinda like her even more than the Goldenhead; nice coloration and a much cooler demeanor overall.

Remind me of my ex bbxb but still not as nice as yours.... possible to share how much you paid for it

Disappointed I couldn't get this shot quite into focus; Galaxy S9 doesn't have a bad camera but the slight delay after pressing the button can make it tricky timing-wise to get best shots, I really need to get a better camera set up with speed light:

Thx Jib, that tank is on the darker side so it's pretty hard for me to get decent pix of her true colors (except from overhead) with my phone camera and current lighting. Can you come over and take some pix please? :)

In fact while you can't tell from that last pic she actually has better overall coloration and deeper golds than my GHXB (except on top of head) at this point. This might change though after I eventually put in a black background and add some pieces of slate to bottom of GHXB's tank, his gold should come in stronger then.
