Those are some nice convicts
 
The largest male and female bred about a week ago, but by breeding I mean she laid a trail of eggs and then turned around and ate them. Then laid a trail of eggs and turned around and ate them...

They're still young.

Ha, thanks. I wish she was in focus but I'd need a lot more light to use a smaller aperture to get more depth of field. :(
 
gorgeous pics and cons...that male is a stunner with that dorsal and hump already showing at that size....very nice :)

a couple of months ago I started using a fix focal lengh 50mm 1.8f at 200iso. On most of my tanks all I need are the tank lights, which works out well since my flash batteries don't hold a charge longer than 6-8hrs. That wont help with depth of field but it's great for low light and close up shots. Especially when you need to grab the camera for a quick shot.
