Yes, it is. Almost every fish forum has its own forum for offtopic discussions and we are happy to have the privilege to discuss and share things outside of our hobby with our fellow members.

Sad how this happens to almost EVERY post like this one.

If you don't like it, don't waste your time. I don't go to the stingray forums, or the datnoid forum, for example. If it's fish you're after, I would avoid the lounge.
Some of us have other meaningful things to share, other than fish, and thank goodness we have this capacity here.
