  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks guys! They are still getting along well. The Parrot is showing more interest in him than he shows in her. She follows him around and they both hang out in the same corner alot.

sorry for my ignorance but what do you get when you mix a parrot and a fh?

kamfa flowehorn. Highly aggressive strain, big KOK, late bloomers, good variety of fry.

Beef her up with some high protein foods so when she lays eggs she lays a lot.

Thanks for the advice. I read that you should feed lots of frozen foods to a pair that you are trying to breed, but I never read an explaination as to why. I will increase the feedings of bloodworms, shrimp and Tilapia.

ZZ and parrot will yield Kamfas as well. I haven't seen any threads showing the progression of larger Flowerhorns who were offspring from Parrots and nice Flowerhorns (if anyone has threads showing this sort of progression, please post a link). I don't know how high quality the offspring would be.

Nice looking KML, good luck with the breeding.

You don't need to feed frozen foods to condition a pair for breeding, as long as the female is healthy & fed extra portions (of any quality food) her egg production will be maximized. By the looks of your male I don't think that he'll need any assistance in the production department. lol
