I found these pictures in some old aquabid auctions from Thailand. What do you think - are they photoshopped? How red do you think the real fish really are?

I am an amateur photographer. In photos, red generally shows up super saturated. However, the are plenary of programs out there that allow a user to put in color brightness and expand the saturation. So, in this case, it's hard to tell but I can say that the red looks overly done.

In Asia, sellers do use lights to enhance the colors of the fish they're selling. I think what you're seeing right here is a fish under a pink light, taken with a camera that really saturated the red. Honestly, the fish most likely does possess a brilliant colour, just not as bright as in the photos. You could always ask for additional photos.

Thanks for the opinions. I contacted the original seller to see if they have any more like this for sale and they have not responded. I also tried to contact the people who purchased these with no response. Before I would buy one like this, I would request a video of the fish for sale. It is possible to tweak videos, but it is more difficult. They can still use pink lights, but harder to change the color saturation. I think they also dose heavily with the artificial red color enhancer used in raising Salmon commercially.

Thats a super red dragon but it does have the pink lights that make him look more red

yeah...look at the rocks on the ground behind him they are almost as bright

Thank you for the input.

These were two different fish and both were sold as females.

They are really nice faders.

Im sure if they were male they would've had a nice hump.
