nope, lol it's a medium weight spinning rod with a shimano sedona reel. My parents wouldn't for over the extra 40 for the shimano stradic, so i had to settle for #2. lol great reel tho, have had no problems.
 
i dont take pictures of many of my fish, so i am out of bass lol i can't go all day :(.haha
