They get daily water changes in a bare bottom tank, that's why they are growing so quick. I would say they may be a little faster growing in general than an EBJD.
 
Are you the person that maintains them for 74ray? If so can you tell us more about how you care for them. I'm curious since I have a bunch of EBJDs from him. Do you use ro water, or prime treated tap water? Ph, temps, frequency/size of water changes? Any info would be appreciated.
 
Oops, accidentally posted using my friends account... The water is tap run through a filtration system. The PH is actually around 8.0 here, temps are around 78-80 depending on the tank. Water changes are probably close to 25% daily on these guys. The filtration is purely the fine hydrosponge 5s on them right now in a bare bottom 80 gallon tank. I use hydrosponges because I feed live brine 3 times a day.
 
Those are interesting looking. They look like standard golds but I haven't seen one with the black spot so pronounced on a gold before.
