pic of my new setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its got a sand substrate, which i collected from a beach!

yep its cycled and got one electric yellow in it now, and im getting a pair thats breed befor this week!

after that im probly just gona get some more females, im intending to use this as a breeding setup nothing to fancy u kno lol

but may add one other kind of fish to the tank as long as the electrics keep breeding

got any ideas on another fish? i was thinkn electric blues?
could i breed yellows and the electric blues in the same tank?

I think it looks perfect man..simply good area to view. I like!

In my opinon, it looks better with it built up high in the back. (It is also harder to do.)
Some people suggested driftwood, probably because it easily adds height to the design.

I think it looks pretty good, I would try to build it up a littler higher in back , That area is a little bare, looking good either way!

I think it looks great. I'm not a big fan of lava rock :grinno:

Nice setup! If you're going with lava rock eventually, that stuff is relatively coarse. Malawis love chasing and they'd get marred up on it. I learned the hard way :(.

yea once befor maybe last year i had a 4foot malawi tank with rocks right to the back.
but this time im gona have it more simple as i want it more as a breeding tank for electric yellows

and there alredy hard to catch lol imagin when its full to the top with rocks
lol
