Your so lucky, I've had such problems with live plants. I've tried sand and I've noticed the plants like the flourite a lot better (in my case) in your case they looking like they're loving it. I'm pretty sure the plants just don't like my tap water. But yours looks great, nice work

I was looking at your pictures on Image Event. They're all really awesome. Wish my tanks looked as good!! One quick question... is the picture of the iguana in your Miami Fishing Trip your's? Or was that wild? I've heard of them living in a few places in Florida, but being from Tampa, where it gets colder in the winter, I haven't seen any.

Yea, the Iguana was wild, I almost walked right into him while fishing the bank. I got a couple decent shots, but once I got oo close he bolted right into the water and across to the other side.

The fish in the second pic was sold as a Geophagus surinamensis.

If your val is putting out runners just clip those off and show them to your local fish shop, sometimes they will trade for feeders, worms, etc.
