Add my $50 in too. Guys should stop wasting time talking and get to posting pics as you are sounding kind of dumb making claims of 2' oscars you 'saw'. If you really did, you would have taken a pic, or there would be pics available. Probably at the guiness book of records.

Otherwise, biggest I have seen is about 14" and the biggest I have is my 12".

I remember reading an article from Freshwater and Marine Aquarium Magazine in the 90's (used to have a subscription) and it was talking about oscars and their size. it mentioned that it might be possible that there was a true 18" Oscar out there but the hobby had never seen one. it was talking about Oscars in the everglades.

and people are saying there are true 24" ones? this I have to see.

the thing is, if you put a 14 inch oscar in a 30 gallon tank it looks like a 2 footer

My boy Frank was around 13" when he died. He was only 3 years old. I once saw a pair of Albino Oscars that were easily 16". They were insanely huge.
