nice and big for the fishies. I do recommend that you paint the PVC pipes black, you can use either krylon fusion, or rustoleum for plastic, both will bond well with pvc and is harmless to the fish.
actually one of them was already painted, but the krylon chips easily and i just would rather not risk it because ive heard mixed reviews (so i sanded it off). Also, they will develop a healthy coat of algae soon enough and blend in

I should have mentioned that sanding the plumbing before the painting helps it, I have had the same problem the first time that I tried krylon on PVC... but i suppose algae works too
