how big is your female getting to be?

Mine has not grown much in the last 9 months, she has been pregnant for that long and is on a pellet diet with occasional shrimp and smelt.

she is a good 15" her first preganancy she was 11" grew to 13" during it, and then when she gave birth the second litter she was 15" your female is actually who i was talking about, I find it strange that yours was pregnant first but mine surpassed her in size so quickly

her or my male has not really grown much in the past few months... they are about 2.5 years old. My male is about 10.5" and female about 12.5", my male is always thick and full looking.. maybe you feed more than me?

I use to feed shrimp almost daily and now i feed it about once a week and pellets the rest of the week.

All of them! Varied diet is best IMO.

Debating whether or not pellets help increase size doesnt make any sense. There are way to many factors that effect size...

Aquarian Shrimp pellets and Top Fin sinking/floating pellets. these are just a suuplement along with worms, shrimp, and silversides.

i have 4 motors in the same tank. 3 of them started out at the same size. of those 3 only 2 eat pellets and of those same 3 the ones that eat pellets grow the fastest. it may be that after i feed the pellets they eat some of the other food (krill, silversides) also but their bellies all look as fat. not very scientific... ps.. the 3 that eat pellets all have better color and shed their stingers way more often.

i never feed pellets. w all the rays i have, they would polish off a bag in a week:ROFL:

i feed mine massivore once or twice a week..i start with carnivore, when they're large enough to handle massivore, i switch..pellets are conveient when i dont want to mess with live and am feeling lazy.
