I personally leave my lights on for 24 hours when getting new bass. It will stress the fish out a little bit but it will help the bass get to know the tank better. Since you got two bass at that size, one will break from being shy and the other will fallow suit.
As stated by darboy, the fish my not eat for a couple days in a new tank. But, given your bass has fat tails, I wouldn't worry to much about them starving. Make sure you have prazi pro just in case your bass has internal parasites.
