Picked this beauty up over the weekend. Thought I would share with you!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks so much! Don't be jealous just find one you like and commit to getting it haha. As for kamfas, if it's a good quality fish that'd actually a good price. I paid $50 for the one that I started this thread with and over $100 for my new one. But I prefer KKs and Kamfas to SRDs or ZZs. So I am willing to pay a little more. If you end up picking one up definitely share some pics.

yeaahh, :) $50 is absolutely worth it man... and also amazing pearl on your new flowerhorn :) yeah, if i could, i would find the cheapest and most highest quality if tht's even possible.. srds here can get to $300 .. gosh -.- yeah, i would definitely share it :)

Here is an update on my Kamfa that started this thread. His head is really starting to grow in! I did put him under blue-ish lights for this pic but the reds are all natural.

Weird mouth

Yeah I know at first I thought it was the beginning of duck lips when I first got him but it doesn't seem to bother him so I am fine with it. Not like I am trying to turn him into a show fish.

Too me it just makes him a little more unique. It's only on that one side as well.

Here is the other side under different lighting.

No editing just adjustable LED's I turned them more blue to really bring out the colors. I also turned off all other lights in the house as well so no natural/room lighting would interfere.

Yeah he likes the movement and seems to interact with everyone. This isn't his permanent home though. I have a 115 gallon that I am going to separate into 2 sections and put him and another male I have into it. Unfortunately I don't have room for another tank right now so I have no where to put all my cories and plecos. I will get that setup after the new year.

Are you running the current usa adjustable fixture with the remote? That's a great piece of gear.
